Ahead of 2023 General Elections: Chief Ollor Receives Rt. Hon. Jack Nkpol and Others Back to the PDP…

Ahead of the 2023 General Elections scheduled to commence in less than forty-seven (47) days, the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor Ollor continues to welcome defectors from various political parties back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Chief Ollor who spoke during the reception of Rt. Hon. Jack Nkpor in his office at the Eleme LGA Secretariat said the PDP in Eleme particularly is excited to welcome back a politician of Nkpol’s pedigree back to the party. “Your decision to join us to deliver the incoming governor of the state is noted and will be communicated to him,… I know your capacity, you’ve been a leader of the legislative assembly in this LGA and during your time we know how effective you were as a leader. Your composure, disposition and lifestyle have endeared a lot of persons to you and this has made you an asset in the politics of both Akpajo where you hail from and Eleme generally which translates into the State, so your return to your party is a welcome development.”

He further encouraged him to ensure he uses the political arsenal at his disposal to push for the victory of all the candidates of the party starting from the governorship candidate Sir Amapusenibo Siminalayi Fubara KSC and promised to inform the State and LGA Party Chairmen as well as other critical stakeholders of his return due to his personality. Chief Ollor thanked Hon. Nkpol for his return back to the party which he helped in building and called his return a “Wonderful New Year Gift”. Recall that Hon. Nkpol who until today was a frontline leader of the APC in Eleme was a former leader of the Eleme legislative assembly during the administration of Chief Ejor Ngowah Ejor between 2003 and 2007.

On his part, Rt. Hon. Nkpol who is overwhelmed with joy to have returned home to the warm reception of the amiable Chairman said he is back to the PDP at this very difficult time in the history of Rivers State for three reasons. According to him, it is a difficult time in the sense that the political terrain and its equilibrium is shaking. First, he returns because of the carriage and personality the Chairman has carved for himself within a very short period of time, noting he isn’t out to sing the praise of the Chairman but the Eleme people and its dwellers can attest to the stealing, killings, kidnappings, and other social vices that plagued Eleme before Chief Ollor assumed office less than two (2) years ago but by his visionary efforts and the grace of God, such a situation has become history as two Christmas has passed without any gunshot before, during and after the festivities, thus confirming that Eleme is peaceful once again. He laid claim to the way and manner the PDP government of H.E Gov. Nyesome Wike has performed in Rivers State as the second reason for his return to the party and pointed out that with the myriad of infrastructural developments across the state and the elevation of the educational facilities giving birth to law and medical schools amongst others, every lover of development would have no option but to identify and align with the PDP as he now has. Thirdly according to him is the peaceful manner in which the PDP was able to organize and conduct its gubernatorial primary election that gave birth to Sir Fubara which he called a ‘system man’ because he has worked with three (3) past governors which such a long time in service and the knowledge acquired has equipped him with the wherewithal to consolidate on the performance of the incumbent governor.

He thanked the Chairman for the way and manner he has received him and assured him that he will certainly reach out to his allies and teeming loyalists to give their support massively to ensure all the candidates of the PDP emerge victorious in the forthcoming polls.
