…As Legionnaires Hails Obarilomate For Support
As Nigeria celebrates her fallen heroes all over the nation, Eleme LGA was not left out as activities marking this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration came to an end with a plethora of activities like a parade, laying of wreaths, and goodwill messages, amongst others. The event which took place at the Eleme LGA Council Secretariat had in attendance Traditional Rulers, Military and Paramilitary Personnel, Civil Servants, dependants of Nigeria’s fallen heroes, Councillors, and Local Government Council Appointees amongst others.
Meanwhile, Legionnaires in Eleme have hailed the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA, Chief Obarilomate Ollor for giving them the needed support which has enabled them to face the difficulties being experienced in the nation. Chairman of Nigerian Legion, Eleme Area Council, Major Christopher Ochindo while speaking during the event said they are appreciative of the office space given to them by the Chairman and more pleased with the Chairman’s visionary leadership style. They requested more support in the area of appointments, repair of their utility vehicle, and monthly stipends amongst others.
In his address, Eleme LGA Chairman, Chief Obarilomate Ollor represented by the Vice Chairman of Council, Hon. Mrs Virtue Joseph Ekee applauded the efforts and sacrifices of the veterans which according to her has kept the nation going. She said those who lost their lives or got maimed deserve to be remembered. She assured the Legionnaires in Eleme of the LGA Council’s support adding that the Council will consolidate on the 2022 support and ensure that 2023 is better for Legionnaires in Eleme LGA.
